Realme is not just another mobile brand in India — it’s the brainchild of Oppo and BBK Electronics, one of China’s largest smartphone manufacturers, with Foxconn as its manufacturing partner. The collaboration has resulted in the Realme gaming phone, which has some very interesting specs, including the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm, an AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint scanner — all at a starting price of Rs 12,999 ($194). Is it worth the money? Let’s find out!
As mobile gaming has become more popular, more phone manufacturers have started to release gaming phones. The Realme gaming phone is one of these options, but is it worth the price tag? Here’s a look at some of its features and my experience with them.
The phone’s design is very sleek and modern, with a matte black case on its back. The front of the device has a nice edge to it and features a large display. The bezels are minimal, meaning that all you see when looking at the device is one big screen. There’s no hole-punch or anything in order to have this edge-to-edge experience, but I think that it still looks very good.
The Realme gaming phone has a 6.2-inch display with a full HD+ resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The screen has an aspect ratio of 19:9, giving you more screen space for reading and typing.
The Realme 2 Pro packs a punch with its flagship-grade hardware, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The phone also features a 4,230 mAh battery, which lasts up to 2 days on a single charge and supports 18W fast charging.
One of my favorite things about this phone is how customizable it is with its myriad of different color options for the back panel, frames and buttons. You can mix and match to create your own unique design that fits your style.
Realme Gaming phone is a quality device for the price. It has all of the features that you would want in a gaming phone and some unique features as well. For gamers, this is a must have device!
